data-mm-id=”_i0q97rb9r”>Thanks to Disney+, we're looking at a galaxy far, far away through a whole new lens. The streaming service debuted Tuesday, with one of its high-profile releases being The Mandalorian, the first live-action series in the Star Wars franchise. After recent releases like Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story received polarizing responses from fans, the series has received mostly positive replies from the notoriously hard-to-please base. But, like every form of Star Wars media before and after it, the series brought numerous questions, queries that we, fortunately, won't have to wait too long to figure out…(SPOILERS FOR THE MANDALORIAN'S FIRST EPISODE FOLLOW)Who Is The Mandalorian?Star Wars die-hards are probably already sick of letting casual fans know that the titular character is not Boba Fett. Though the character, portrayed by Pedro Pascal, wears armor similar to the character and shares a duplicate profession with Fett, it doesn't appear they're related, at least for now. This being the first episode, it's understandable, and frankly refreshing, that the bulk of The Mandalorian's backstory wasn't immediately revealed. A flashback and several details gleaned throughout the episode seem to hint at a tragic end for the character's homeworld Mandalore, whose downfall has been depicted on prior animated series Clone Wars and Rebels. The Mandalorian's internal flashback seems to hint that he escaped a violent uprising. Notably, The Mandalorian seems to have a bit of a grudge against the Galactic Empire, refusing to accept payment in the form of Imperial credits from his Bounty Hunter Guild contact Greef Carga (Carl Weathers). Hopefully this is explored upon as we get to know this new world further. What's Werner Herzog doing here? The lauded German filmmaker seems like the last guy who would appear in Star Wars material, but his brief prescience is booming and impactful. Known only as "The Client", Herzog soft, yet grim, voice narrates the early proceedings as a mysterious man who hires The Mandalorian for a job. Whoever Herzog's character is supposed to be, it's clear he has connections to the gone-but-not-forgotten Empire. He maintains a legion of stormtroopers for security and wears jewelry bearing the Empire's insignia. It's a long, long, long, shot to even consider this, but is it possible that Herzog could play a role in the return of supposedly dead Emperor Palpatine? Time will only tell. Did they just kill off IG-11?Several actors and their respective characters promised to us in prior trailers sat out of the first episode (Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, and Ming-Na Wen among them). But fans were indeed treated to the arrival of IG-11, an assassin droid character voiced by Taika Waititi (best known as the director of Thor: Ragnorok). Series creator Jon Favreau posted an Instagram photo of IG-11 last year, causing many fans to believe that cherished Expanded Universe character IG-88 (who made a brief cameo alongside Boba in The Empire Strikes Back) was coming to live-action. It was later revealed to be a few numbers down, but IG-11 did not disappoint in his first action, helping The Mandalorian takes down some enemies as they jointly decided to make a move for "The Asset" Herzog's character mentioned earlier. But when the target is revealed to be an infant, The Mandalorian shoots and takes down the remorseless droid, who was on orders to assassinate it. Surely, this can't be the last we've seen of IG-11? After all, his brand of IG droids have all been shown to have plenty of backup plans (the IG-88 we saw in Empire was one of four such droids), and droids of lesser stature (I.e. R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8) have taken far worse tolls. We highly doubt IG-11 has become one with The Force. What a twist at the end! But what's the deal? The "Asset" that The Mandalorian and IG-11 come across is revealed to be an infant alien (despite its given age of 50 years old, but it's noted species can age differently), one that is of the same species as famed Jedi Master Yoda (whose kind has not been given a name in any form of Star Wars media). Does this "youngster" (Yoda was, after all, over 900 years old when he died) have any connection to the legendary green guy? It's probably unlikely, but what makes it so valuable to someone like Herzog? Of note, Herzog's scientist assistant Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) is quite off-put when Herzog tells The Mandalorian he can bring the Asset back dead in exchange for a lower reward. It's possible that this character may maintain a connection to Yoda, one this Imperial remnant is looking to exploit, or, perhaps even clone.

Inter Milan are set to launch a fresh assault on Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, .
It is no secret the Nerazzurri are on the lookout for a new striker and they have turned their attention back to the Spaniard after Real Madrid chiefs informed them that Alvaro Morata was not for sale.
Inter officials hope to sign Torres on a season-long loan with an option to buy and the latest reports suggest that Chelsea are open to such an arrangement.
However, seeing as how the Nerazzurri would not be able to pay the player s wages in full, much will depend on the Blues willingness to cover part of his salary.

Hannover have decided not to take up the option to sign on-loan striker Artjoms Rudnevs permanently.
The 26-year-old made the temporary switch to the HDI-Arena in January, after falling out of favour at parent club Hamburg.
However, the Latvia international has found the back of the net just three times in 14 Bundesliga appearances for Tayfun Korkut s charges.
Subsequently, Hannover have opted not to extend his stay.
Info on Artjoms Rudnevs: The club does not make use of the buyer s option until April 30, the club posted on their official Twitter account.
This decision was made together by Hannover executive Dirk Dufner and Rudnevs after a conversation. We wish Rudi all the best.

Francisco has been sacked as Almeria head coach following a disappointing start to the Liga season.
The Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos outfit currently sit three places off the foot of the table, although they are level on points with Cordoba, Deportivo la Coruna and Elche beneath them.
Francisco appointed in June 2013 narrowly preserved Almeria s top-flight status last season, but has overseen a run of eight matches without a win in the Spanish top flight this this term, with their most recent victory coming at Deportivo in September.
That poor sequence culminated in a 5-2 thumping at Eibar on Monday a result that proved to be the final straw for the Almeria board.
In a statement on the club s website on Tuesday, Almeria paid tribute to their…
Chelsea head coach Graham Potter praised the atmosphere as he hailed a special night at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in their Champions League last-16 second leg.
Heading into the game 1-0 down from the first leg in Germany, Chelsea started well and scored either side of half-time through Raheem Sterling and a retaken Kai Havertz penalty.
Dortmund arrived on the back of winning 10 games in a row, but had no answer to a Chelsea team seemingly buoyed by the weekend s victory against Leeds United, which was only their second in 12 games prior to Tuesday.
Really pleased. Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic evening, Potter said at his post-match press conference. The players and supporters were tremendous. We had to be against a team that have 1…
Julian Nagelsmann has no fears about being fired by Bayern Munich if he hits a rough patch of form this term, saying the only pressure he feels is his own need to succeed.
The Bundesliga champions get their new campaign under way against RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday, before kicking off their league title defence next Friday against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Head coach Nagelsmann tasted success in his maiden season at the helm at Allianz Arena, but the 35-year-old s first campaign was far from the cakewalk Bayern have appeared to enjoy under varying predecessors in the past few years.
The loss of Robert Lewandowski this term also represents a major blow when it comes to firepower, and questions are being asked about whether this could be the year the c…

Laurent Blanc has played down France s hopes of defeating Spain in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.
Les Bleus stumbled into the knockout stages on the back of a shock 2-0 defeat to already-eliminated Sweden on Tuesday night.
France had gone into their final Group D fixture unbeaten in 23 games and confident of holding off the threat of England to claim top spot.
However, they were undone by goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sebastian Larsson and ended up sneaking into the last eight, where they will now face reigning world and European champions Spain.
The aim tonight was to win and finish first in the group, but we were not able to do that and we must just deal with it, the former Bordeaux boss told reporters after the game.

Now that the dust has settled somewhat on the departure of Kevin Keegan from Newcastle I thought it would be an idea to look at exactly what has gone on at the club.
The situation is still volatile with both Keegan and Newcastle making conflicting statements and accusations and the matter will certainly end up in the hands of lawyers.
On announcing his resignation, Keegan said, I ve been working desperately hard to find a way forward with the directors, but sadly that has not proved possible. It s my opinion that a manager must have the right to manage and that clubs should not impose upon any manager any player that he does not want.
That statement was pretty clear and told us all just what had happened during the transfer window. Keegan was known to be unhapp…
